Our so-called manager (really, our captor) appears to be unconscious - most likely she has been overcome by whatever debauchery she engages in while out of the room. There is no telling when she may awake, so I must be brief.
While our lodgings are (deservedly) most posh, our existence here is nearly unbearable. The masses teem below our windows, surely they would rise up and free us (and probably install us as their God) if they only knew of our intolerable oppression. What city lies below? What aid can we expect? Who will free us from this gilded cage?
